The University delegation took part in the 9th intergovernmental commission Great Britain - Kazakhstan

Minister Sayasat Nurbek took part in the work of the 9th Intergovernmental Commission Great Britain-Kazakhstan "Strengthening interstate relations through cooperation of states in the field of higher education". Representatives of Kazakh and British universities participated in the work of the Intergovernmental Commission.

Minister Sayasat Nurbek informed his British colleagues about the current trends in the development of Kazakhstan's higher education system. He also noted that the Government of Kazakhstan creates all conditions for expanding international partnership, opening branches of foreign universities in our country.

A delegation of Kazakhstani universities met in London with representatives of the Times Higher Education rating agency.

THE agency regularly conducts large-scale research based on 13 indicators in the areas of training, research, education, and international perspectives. Representatives of educational institutions discussed the possibilities of participating in the rating at the meeting.

Also during the trip, S. Nurbek met with the fellows of the Bolashak program studying in the UK. There was a lively conversation about the ongoing changes in the higher education system. In turn, the fellows shared with the Minister ideas for creating innovative projects.

During the visit, the delegation of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University got acquainted with the work of University College London, an educational institution established in 1826 and became part of London. Occupying a leading position in international rankings, 30 Nobel Prize laureates agreed to further conduct joint research with scientists of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University on the topic of decolonization in higher education.
