Rauan Kenzhehanuly presented new features of the Coursera educational platform

Coursera is the most frequently used international distance learning platform among universities in the world. Today, more than 110 million people in 200 countries use this system on a regular basis.

At the meeting, Acting Rector Maynur Buribayeva noted that 500 students at the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University applied for the use of the Coursera license.

Coursera has combined the training courses of 170 leading universities in the world on one platform. The main circumstance that prevented the widespread use of courses among universities is the availability of English. Currently, the first 50 courses in Coursera have been translated into Kazakh. Over the next year, we will translate about 654 courses into Kazakh. Students can take exams and get a certificate of studying courses of well–known educational institutions, - said Rauan Kenzhehanuly.

It is worth noting that 500 licenses for 1 year were issued to students of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.

At the meeting, the teaching staff discussed the use of the platform in the educational process.
