Categories for internships under the Bolashak program

In 2023, 110 Bolashak scholarships have been allocated for internships of specialists in the field of healthcare, culture, sports, tourism, agro-industrial complex, teachers of schools, colleges, technical engineers, civil servants, as well as media workers. Acceptance of documents is carried out by JSC "Center for International Programs".

"This year, the requirements for applicants for internships have been strengthened. Now, to participate in the competition, you must have a certificate of passing the exam in a foreign language. This will allow us to qualitatively improve the competitive selection for the award of the Bolashak scholarship. Also, applicants for an internship must have a total work experience of at least three years, including the last 12 months to work in the chosen specialty. In addition, it is mandatory to have an invitation from the host foreign organization, a certificate of passing the exam in the state language at the level of at least B1," said Lyazzat Adilova, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The list of priority specialties under the Bolashak program provides for 162 specialties for internship this year. In 2023, the list includes such relevant specialties as "Cloud Services", "Space Systems and Engineering", "Hydrogeology", "Precision Medicine", "Testology", etc.

It should be noted that scholarship holders do not pledge real estate for an internship. To ensure the fulfillment of obligations, it is enough to provide two guarantors, which can be citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the age of 50 who have had a steady income for the last 12 months.
