The exhibition presents archaeological artifacts

The regional Museum of Local History hosted an exhibition of valuable exhibits telling about the life of different periods. The findings of scientists of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University as a result of excavations were also exhibited there.

Archaeological excavations have been conducted in the region with the support of the Akimat of the region since 2014. This year, studies were conducted in Babish-mola, the medieval towns of Zhankent, Syganak. As a result, residential premises, important construction sites, pottery kilns, mausoleums were discovered, which are periodically dated to various periods, and a number of objects were preserved.

In particular, the ancient settlement of Zhankent, which is a monument of history and culture of republican significance, is visited by archaeologists led by the head of the research center "Archeology and Ethnography" Azilkhan Tazhekeev. This year, together with scientists from the University of Tubingen in Germany, additional excavations were carried out.       

It should be noted that the exhibition was attended by Deputy Akim of the region Nurymbet Saktaganov, head of the Regional Department of Culture and Sports Ruslan Rustemov, scientists of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University and archaeologists from Almaty, Turkestan.
