Bolashak Scholarship: benefits for engineering and technical specialists and medical workers have been approved

  "On behalf of the Head of State on the reorientation of the Bolashak program, the emphasis is on the training of engineering and technical personnel. To support applicants, a new preferential category has been introduced - "Engineering and technical workers". Also, on our initiative, the selection rules for medical workers have been improved. Thanks to these innovations, Kazakhstan doctors and technicians can undergo free language training for up to 12 months," said Anuar Zhangozin, Chairman of the Management Board of the Center for International Programs JSC.

  In addition, applicants of the preferential category do not have to enroll in a foreign university on their own at the time of submitting documents. They can choose an educational institution from the list of universities recommended for study under the program, after awarding a scholarship.

  Recall that only applicants with an unconditional invitation from leading foreign universities, with the exception of candidates of preferential categories, can participate in the competition for the award of the Bolashak scholarship.

  To participate in the competitive selection for the award of the Bolashak scholarship under a preferential quota, it is necessary that the GPA - average score of the applicant's diploma is at least 3.0. out of 4.0. In addition, it is mandatory to have a certificate in the state language KAZTEST with a result of at least level B1, as well as a document confirming the average level of foreign language proficiency. For example, when studying in English, it is necessary to submit an IELTS certificate at the level 5.0. out of 9.0., in Chinese - HSK 3 out of 6, in German - Goethe-Zertifikat B1-B2 from C1, etc.

  It should be noted that under the terms of the Bolashak program, the state pays students for tuition fees, round-trip flights, medical insurance, visa fees, and educational materials. A monthly stipend is also paid.
