The III International «Taimanov Readings»

As part of the celebration of the 85th anniversary of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, the opening of the III International scientific Taimanov readings - "Modern Mathematics: problems and applications" was held.

On the basis of the university, it is customary to hold the III Taimanov readings "Modern Mathematics: problems and applications", dedicated to the scientific and pedagogical activities of the largest scientist in the field of mathematical logic, topology and model theory, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, professor, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR Asan Dabysovich Taimanov.

At the conference, the Chairman of the Board – Rector of the Korkyt Kyzylorda University Beibitkul Karimova noted that the holding of the III Taimanov Readings is an important event in the history of the university, contributes to the development of new research in the field of mathematics and natural sciences.

- Korkyt Ata University always keeps in memory the names of those who contributed to its creation and development. The names of the teaching staff and teachers who served science and education in the history of the university, who made a worthy contribution to the education of the inquisitive generation, are written in golden letters.

One of such persons is the famous mathematician Asan Taimanov. From 1947 to 1954 he was the head of the Department of Higher Mathematics of the N.V. Gogol Kyzylorda Pedagogical Institute.  Over the years, he has made a significant contribution to the development of education and science of the university and the region, – said Beibitkul Sarsemkhanovna.

It is worth noting that Asan Dabysovich has made a number of innovations in the organization of scientific work among students and teachers in a short time. The first mathematical Olympiads among schoolchildren were organized in the region.

In 2013, as part of the I Taimanov readings, the "Lecture Hall named after Academician A. D. Taimanov" was opened in the educational building No. 6, where he served, where a bust of the scientist is displayed. The first conference was attended by 40 doctors of sciences, 15 academicians of various academies, 75 candidates of sciences and young researchers.

II international scientific Taimanov readings dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Academician Asan Taimanov were included in the program of jubilee events within the framework of the 80th anniversary of the university. 

The conference dedicated to the 85th anniversary of education was attended by Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Department of Geometry and Topology of Novosibirsk State University, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Iskander Taimanov, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Deputy Director General of the Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Bektur Baizhanov, Corresponding member of the Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Askar Zhumadildaev, Professor of the Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K. Satpayev, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Chief Researcher of the Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling Viktor Verbovsky. The conference program included more than 60 reports.

Within the framework of the conference, a section was held, after which a ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to the scientist took place.
