International Festival «Kиiз·Felt·Keçe·Войлок»

 The first large-scale international festival "Kиiз•Felt•Keçe•Войлок" was held in Almaty, organized by the "Union of Artisans of Kazakhstan".

 Felt is a universal material that protects from bad weather, saves from heat and cold, isolates noise and has bactericidal properties. But above all, products made of this plastic material can become real and vivid works of art, give the World their beauty.

  The master class was conducted by felt artist Janice Arnold (USA), felt master, research scientist Mikhailo Vetro (Hungary), hereditary felt master Salih Girgich (Turkey), Chairman of the Union of Artisans of the Kyrgyz Republic Aizhan Bekkulova. Carpets and felt clothes of foreign guests were presented at the exhibition. The participants compared the works of each country, saw differences in the styles of creation.

  It is worth noting that the senior lecturer of the Department of Design and Technology of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, Master of Pedagogical Sciences, member of the Union of Artisans of Kazakhstan Aidanа Alaidarovа took part in the international festival and was awarded a special certificate.
