The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced that a "regional atlas" of specialties are planning to create in Kyzylorda

In Kyzylorda hosted the First Regional Forum "Mamandygym – bolashagym" with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the forum organized by the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University and the Regional Department of Education, ways to improve the effectiveness of career guidance work in the Republic were announced.

A video of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, prepared for this forum, was presented at the meeting. The Minister stressed the importance of improving career guidance and preparing a regional atlas.

- In 2019, on behalf of the Head of State, the "Atlas of new specialties" project was launched. Within the framework of this project, more than 400 specialties were considered. Among them are new and just appeared on the labor market specialties: "pension", transformed specialties. Within the framework of this project, three groups of specialties have been identified in 9 main sectors of the economy.

Also last year we created a "Regional Atlas" in the Pavlodar region. That is, the deficit of the economy of the Pavlodar region, new requirements, new specialties have been identified. Within the framework of this project, universities and professional educational institutions have updated 25 curricula and prepared and finalized 15 new curricula. This successful pilot project was included in the program to increase the income of the Kazakh people for 2025 as a special direction "Mamandygym bolashagym", the minister said.

The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan noted that in the next 3-5 years, educational programs, state, regional orders will be associated with demand in the region.

- Education should work in accordance with the requirements of the labor market and prepare personnel for the same shortage of qualifications.

 Now in several regions we will start this model on the basis of regional universities. The Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University is taught as a project office of a regional Foresight. In the future, such large–scale initiatives and seminars will be held,-  the minister said.

Also, the head of the project "Mamandygym – Bolashagym" project office of social Initiatives of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Samgat Samekbayev spoke in detail about the goals and requirements of the project and presented the results of research.

At the event, the head of the regional Department of Education Meirambek Shermagambet noted the work done on career guidance in the schools of the region.

-In order to develop vocational education of students from an early age, a pilot project "School of Entrepreneurship" is being implemented in schools-lyceums №23 and №278 of the city of Kyzylorda from 2021. The aim of the project is to implement high-quality education of future leaders in business and industry, innovative technologies and advanced and promising areas for the benefit of the region and the country as a whole. At the same time, in order to effectively organize vocational guidance at an early age, choosing a profession, Lyceum school №278 is designated in the region as a reference school,- the head of the department noted.

At the forum, the Chairman of the Board – Rector of the Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University Beibitkul Karimova gave an overview of what profession the vast majority of applicants will choose this year, stressed that when career guidance work at school, it is necessary to take into account the demand in the region, willingness to work together.

- In order to effectively implement the strategic plan of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, we constantly conduct career guidance work among school and college graduates, as well as second higher education and postgraduate education, – said Beibitkul Sarsemkhanovna.

It is worth noting that the meeting was attended by deputy principals of schools and colleges of the region for specialized training, heads of city and district education departments responsible for career guidance.
