A meeting was held with representatives of the Regional Department of Economic Investigations

A meeting on "Financial security" was held at Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University on the initiative of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Financial Monitoring.

The event was attended by Aslan Kenesovich, Head of the Regional Department of Economic Investigations, Beibitkul Karimova, Chairman of the Board-Rector of Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University, Arman Janadilov, Deputy Head of the Department, Maira Oralbayeva, investigator for particularly important cases, Baldyrgan Mamen, financial expert of the “Debt-Free Society” project, and university teaching staff, heads of responsible structures and students. 

At the meeting, the Chairman of Board-Rector Beibitkul Sarsemkhanovna, spoke about the ongoing work and measures on financial security. In addition, the head of the department, Aslan Kenesovich, conducted explanatory work on prevention of threats and responsibility of youth to the law.

The main purpose of the meeting is to prevent illegal financial activities among young people, including use as a "dropper", to increase legal literacy and encourage students to take an active civic position.
 

According to official data from the Financial Monitoring Agency, 29 pyramid schemes were identified in the country last year, and 327 fraudulent chats were blocked. It turned out that the number of participants in these chats exceeds 1.5 million people, most of them are young people.

During the event, the students received comprehensive information, answered questions and shared their opinions. Prizes were awarded to active students.

Representatives of the Regional Department of Economic Investigations also held lectures at the Institute of Economics and Law and the Humanitarian-Pedagogical and Engineering-Technological Institutes of our university.

It is worth noting that the national Olympiad will be held among students at the initiative of the Financial Monitoring Agency.

The purpose of the Olympiad is to increase financial and legal literacy of young people, to intensify the fight against corruption and the shadow economy.
