In the Palace of Students of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, Chairman of the Board-Rector Beibitkul Karimova held a reporting meeting on the work done and upcoming tasks. The head of the University noted that the reputation and competitiveness of the university in the international educational environment have now increased.

"The University is among the 1400+ best universities in the world according to the QS Word University Ranking-2025. According to the QS Asia Ranking rating agency among the universities of the Asian continent, in 2024 the university entered the TOP 541-560 and took 34th place among the universities of Central Asia. In addition, the university ranks 1015th in the UI Green Metric World University Rankings-2023.

The educational institution has shown results according to the Global University Impact Rankings-2025 indicator in the Times Higher Education ranking in 2024,” Beibutkul Karimova said.

During the meeting, the directions of academic education, research, international relations, social service and digitalization of the educational institution were highlighted.

"The university's contingent is growing every year. Today, 10,512 students study at the educational institution, of which 4,905 are enrolled under state educational grants. For the first time this year 151 graduates from other regions of the country were admitted to the 1st course. In general, compared with the number of students in the 2019-2020 academic year, the number of students in the new academic year increased by 2 times, and students studying on the basis of a state grant - by 4.4 times. In addition, 46 foreign students from China, Mongolia, Uzbekistan and Russia are improving their knowledge,” the head of the university said.

During the reporting period, 6 joint educational programs were developed with "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" National Research University of Uzbekistan. And according to the double degree program, 2 educational programs are being implemented jointly with the branch of the Moscow Aviation Institute "Voskhod" and Kyrgyz National University named after Zh.Balasagyn.

At the reporting meeting, Beibitkul Sarsemkhanovna focused on the tasks scheduled for the 2024-2025 academic year. The Rector of the university noted that in the future she will implement new initiatives that contribute to strengthening the human capital and scientific and technological potential of the country.

The event was attended by representatives of the intellectuals, university teaching staff, partners, students and media representatives. At the end of the meeting, the participants asked questions and made suggestions. It should be noted that the reporting meeting was conducted live on the official social networks of the educational institution.

The meeting continued with a concert by the student orchestra of folk instruments dedicated to November 17 - International Students' Day.
