The Pre-Summit QS Higher Ed Summit: ASIA PACIFIC 2024 took place
QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2024 pre-summit dedicated to higher education issues was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The international event was organized in honor of the 20th anniversary of QS Asia-Pacific Summit.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Board-Rector Beibitkul Karimova. During the event, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, made a report on the ongoing work of domestic universities on the development of higher education and science.
According to the results of QS WUR World Ranking, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University entered for the first time in 2023, this year it took a 1400+ position among more than 5,000 universities in the world.
Experts evaluate the world's universities according to 9 criteria when compiling the QS World University Rankings. In 2024, 5,663 higher education institutions from 106 countries took part, and 1,503 higher education institutions were included in the ranking. 21 of them are Kazakhstani universities.
