Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University in the QS WUR World University Ranking

On June 5, 2024, the results of the global Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings (QS WUR) – 2025 were announced for the 21st time. Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University took the position of 1400+.

When compiling the QS World University Rankings, experts evaluate the world's universities according to the following criteria:

• Academic reputation - 30% 

• The average number of citations is 20%

• Reputation among employers – 15%

• Employment of graduates – 5%

• The ratio of the number of teachers and students – 10%

• Number of international students – 5%

• The share of foreign teachers – 5%

• International Research Network – 5%

• Stability – 5%

Universities receive an assessment according to each criterion, then a total score is derived from these assessments, which determines the university's place in the ranking.

This year, 5,663 higher education institutions from 106 countries have been ranked, the number of participants in the rating has increased almost 2 times compared to last year (2,963). The rating includes 1503 universities, of which 21 are Kazakhstani universities.
