A round table on artificial intelligence management was held

A round table "Artificial Intelligence Management: Kazakhstan's Contribution to achieving Sustainable Development Goals" was held at the UN building in Almaty, organized by Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University and the United Nations Information Office in the Republic of Kazakhstan. It was attended by world experts in the field of artificial intelligence, interested technology companies, rectors, vice-rectors and employees of leading universities in Kazakhstan.

The round table was opened by Advisor to the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor Mahmut Tomanov and representative of the UN Information Center Vlastimil Samek. After the opening remarks, the main reports were heard.

The main purpose of the event was to discuss the possibilities of international regulation of artificial intelligence, the development of scientific and technical cooperation and raising issues of creating new international institutions for the regulation of artificial intelligence. Chairman of the Board - Rector of Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University, Ph.D. Beibitkul Karimova made a presentation. There she shared her plans on the topic "Creation of a Higher School of Infromatics and Artificial Intelligence at Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University". Dana Abdrasheva, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of the Rector of the University, expressed her opinion in the discussion.

At the meeting, the leadership of Korkyt ata Kyzylorda University shared information about the university with the UN, as a result of which the educational institution agreed to increase cooperation with companies Microsoft, IBM, HoneyWell, Micromine, One Web, UI, It box.kz .

This event is an important step towards achieving the Goals of sustainable development of artificial intelligence. The participants of the round table noted the importance of international cooperation and made a number of proposals on the regulation and development of artificial intelligence.
