Students study tomato growing methods in Kyrgyzstan

Students of the educational program "Agrarian Technologies" of the Kyzylorda University named after Korkyt ata - Zhansaya Zhaksylyk, Dina Dildabaeva, Asemay Kuttybaeva, Eldana Nuralieva and associate professor, PhD Nuraly Nurgaliev are exchanging experiences at the Kyrgyz-Turkish University "Manas" of the Kyrgyz Republic under the academic mobility program.

Students participate in lectures and practical classes of the teaching staff of the Faculty of Agriculture in the areas of Biology-Crop production, Project Preparation, Greenhouse work.

"Upon arrival in Kyrgyzstan, we observe the growth of various plants and fruits, and receive a lot of information about them. Strawberries, rapeseed, cotton, new sorts of apples and various garden flowers are grown in greenhouses here. We also participate in research work on the cultivation of four different varieties (Turkish varieties "Aegean pink", "Alaturka", "Sokol", "Alyanak") of tomatoes. We plan to Plant these unusual varieties of tomatoes upon arrival in Kyzylorda. Within the framework of the academic mobility program, all favorable conditions have been created for our studies. In addition to theoretical lectures, practical classes are also held in greenhouses," said Zhansaya Zhaksylyk, a 3rd-year student of the specialty "Agronomy".

Associate Professor of the Educational Program "Agricultural Technologies", Doctor of Philosophy Nuraly Nurgaliyev, during a meeting with Professor of the Kyrgyz-Turkish University "Manas" Akhmet Aigun, presented the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University and presented a souvenir dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the university. Nuraly Shaikysultanuly, within the framework of the academic mobility program, conducts lectures for students of the Kyrgyz-Turkish University "Manas".
