International ties with the United States will increase

At the beginning of the week, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University was visited by US Consul General Michelle Yerkin on an official visit.

The delegation got acquainted with the fund of the rare Scientific Library in the Palace of students and visited the museum.

The guests got acquainted with the achievements and opportunities of the university at the international level.

With the support of the partnership program of universities in the United States and Kazakhstan, the US Embassy in Kazakhstan and the American Council, the project "Promotion of basic curricula in Ecology and Environmental Sciences for regional universities in Kazakhstan" was implemented, organized by our university together with the US State University of Michigan. George Washington University, the University of South Dakota, Pace University in New York and the University of Maine took part in this project. 

In 2020-2022, within the framework of the Pedagogical University Development Program (PUDP), funded by the US Embassy, 30 of our teachers underwent 72 hours of training. Currently, they teach teachers of English schools in the Syrdarya district and Kyzylorda to modern methods of teaching.

In addition, for the second year, Fulbright fellows come to our university with the US embassy in Kazakhstan on the basis of intergovernmental agreements to teach English.

At the meeting, the parties discussed aspects of expanding cooperation opportunities and strengthening ties in the field of education and science.

At the end of the meeting, Beibitkul Sarsemkhanovna expressed confidence that such events will contribute to the enrichment of mutual experience and the strengthening of cultural understanding. She thanked them for their support and interest in the university and presented a memorable gift.
