April 12 - Science Day in Kazakhstan

Today, a roundtable discussion titled 'Women in Science: Achievements, Challenges, and Opportunities' was held at the 'Anaga Tagzym' center, organized by Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University."

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Board-Rector of the University Beibitkul Karimova, teachers and heads of priority areas of the Amanat party.

The moderator was a member of the Board of the educational institution, Vice-rector for Science and International Relations Mainur Buribayeva.  The meeting of women scientists fulfilling their important mission, which requires perseverance and dedication, was meaningful

Chairman of the Board - Rector of the University Beibitkul Karimova noted, "Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that "today's development of science is the key to tomorrow's success of the country. If we want to stay at the top of global development, we must, first of all, develop science." Thanks to the full support of the President, positive changes are taking place in the field of science. The amount of funding for science from the republican budget has almost doubled over the past two years. By 2025, it is planned to increase the amount of funding for science to 1% of gross domestic product. This will certainly give a great Impulse to the development of Russian science. If earlier the competitions of the Ministry of Education and Science for grant and program-targeted financing were held once every three years, now they will be held annually. It is worth noting that 5 contests were held in 2020 alone. Another important point is that new types of grants were approved for the first time in 2020. These are collaboration grants, short-term, individual, for young scientists, etc."

Associate professor of the educational program "Economics and Management", Candidate of Economic Sciences Abdimomynova Almakul made a report on the topic "The image of a woman in science: the Kazakh version". And associate professor of the educational program "Jurisprudence", Candidate of Law Zhusupbekova Madina held a game on the topic "Problems of domestic violence of women, legal aspects". The senior lecturer of the section "Philosophy and socio-humanitarian disciplines", Master of Philosophy Paridinova Botagoz made a report on the topic "The existence of women in the Kazakh philosophical worldview".

The event was supported by the regional Amanat party. Because the chairman of the board, Rector of the University Beibitkul Karimova, is the head of the direction of "support for women in science" from the party. On behalf of the AMANAT party, Gulshat Isaevna Musayeva, Executive Secretary of the Kyzylorda city branch, awarded a letter of Gratitude to several scientists for their contribution to the development of research activities. Deputy of the city maslikhat Aigul Musabayeva noted the importance of the meeting held for the first time and wished success on the way to science. In turn, the rector of the university thanked the director of the Center "Anaga tagzym" Altynai Molzhanova and the primary party organization "Turan", the Institute of Economics and Law, who organized the meeting. At the end of the meeting, women in science expressed their wishes and opinions.
