On February 22-23, 2024, the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting with young science leaders. This is part of a large-scale strategy to attract young talents to the scientific community.

At a meeting with young scientists, the president of the Board of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kurishbayev Akylbek Kazhigulovich announced the creation of a council of young scientists at the National Academy of Sciences. The work of the Council of young scientists will be headed by the presidium, which includes members of the National Кurultai under the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Council for Science and technology, chairmen of organizations of young scientists in the Republic, members of the national scientific council, chairmen of councils of young scientists of universities and Research Institutes of the country, authoritative, young and established scientists.

The work of the Presidium of the Council of young scientists is carried out by divisions and has representative offices in the regions. Thus, we raise the status of the Council of young scientists at the National Academy of Sciences, which, accordingly, will become an effective organization that unites the country's leading young scientists and has all the necessary powers for its activities," the president of the Board noted.

For the first time in science, the position of a member of the Presidium of the Council of young scientists – Ombudsman was introduced to protect the rights of young scientists.. The Presidium of the Council of young scientists includes Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, head of the laboratory of engineering profile "Methods of Physico-Chemical Analysis", Ph.D., Associate Professor (Associate Professor) – Akylbekov Nurgali Ikramovich.
